I'd put money on him scoring against us next season

When Bennett was playing his 50th consecutive 90 minutes of the season he could have been handy. Shame he was a decent ball player.
Grimes was even more under used by Southport last season playing 4 less games than when at Barrow.
I think that tells it's own story.
Grimes actually played in one more league game at Southport(18) than at Barrow(17), but he only had the four starts at Southport, four less than the eight he had at Barrow.

I think Hannah is the better player, he actually scored an handful and set up an handful of others, kept the opposition on the backfoot when he came on. Sorry to see him go.

In contrast Grimes appeared to make little to no difference and was often invisible. He had three good seasons with Lincoln and Rochdale but appeared to go into into decline before he got to us. You could see what he was capable of but he never seemed to deliver, he was all potential with no end product be it a pass or shot. I wouldn't want him back.

To give you an idea of how bad Gimres season was at Southport. He again only scored 1 league goal in his time at the club. Of his four starts, he didn't finish the 90, he was subbed off on 62, 66 and 82 minutes and was sent off in the 35th minute against Lincoln. Finally for those that were there when Barrow won 4-1 at Haig Avenue, he came on as a substitute in the 24th minute only to be subbed off on in 64th. I don't think the Southport fans were impressed with his performance or attitude at the time.

Hope we got a fee for him - after all he did have 12 months left on his contract.

Which, of course, has got absolutely nothing to do with the ability they showed while playing for Barrow. Chris Lawler was a brilliant fullback for Liverpool and England but by almost universal agreement was probably one of the worst fullbacks ever to play for Portsmouth when he joined them after being discarded by Liverpool.

It' s going to be strange next season looking across from the popular side and not seeing Ross sat on the bench. And then Cox telling him to warm up with 15 mins to go, only for him to be told to sit down again !!!!!! Almost every [SwearFilter] week. What a way to treat someone after saying he was "A massive signing" All the best Ross. You deserve better in the future. You acted with class.

Good business by the manager, obviously Ross wasn't in his plans for next season , he has identified a striker in White who is more his type of player going forward.

This leaves an opportunity to remove Hannah and allow him out of his contract to move back to Chester, win win for both parties.

Hannah allowed freedom from his contract , White better type of player for us , in the style of play the manager feels will get us out of this division.
