Forgive my stupidity..I've never been in to betting and I don't fully understand the odd or how it makes someone favourite? Just doesn't interest me..
So if it's now 10-1 is he now not favourite?

Basically the favourite is where the two numbers are the closest together.

Not really correct. Treat the numbers as a fraction so 10-1 is 10/1 whereas 1-10 (commonly called 10-1 ON) is 1/10. The lower the number (equivalent to the fraction) the greater the likelihood, the higher the number indicates it's less likely.

And isn't here some protocol to be followed if a club wants to interview another club's manager - like giving notice? And wouldn't Evatt have to seek permission from the Barrow Board before he went ahead?

When they use that phrase “approached him” how does it work,do you think they walk up to him in the street or even sidle up to him as he’s walking around tesco,and whisper in his hear”do you fancy the rochdale job”just wondering or even slip a brown envelope into his hand.
