Good spirited and a bit of banter, we probably need it! I shall probably just look on a bit bemused by it all.

I wonder if any are stopping over to sample a bit of the Barrow knight life? .........I’ll get me chain mail.

I find that post very strange.

It's a Hartlepool tradition.

Some superb footage on YouTube of their previous exploits.

Depends what you class as superb I guess. It's more cringeworthy and odd to me. Grown men and women dressing up as Smurfs for the day? Very odd but I guess they're harmless enough so whatever floats your boat.

Agreed, if they want to dress up and watch sport they should go to darts or 20/20 cricket.

In these times of doom and gloom and bloody Brexit it's refreshing to see fans not giving a toss what anyone else thinks of them and actually having a bit of fun and a laugh. Any kids at the game will love it. Probably be a few grumps and "I wouldn't do anything like that" folk about but the rest of us will enjoy the spectacle.

You wait til your son is older. He will volunteer you for allsorts of events at school. You better hadn't disappoint him by being a stick-in-the mud. You may even enjoy yourself. 😂

I'll happily do stuff like that Elaine, it would be for the kids and there would be a point to it. Going to a football match with my mates dressed as a smurf (surrounded by other grown men dressed the same) is not my idea of enjoying myself however

Agree with Kieran, all a bit cringeworthy to me, a load off grown adults going to a non league game in fancy dress, however it's a welcome boost financially and fancy dress aside puts so the so called other big ex league clubs to shame, even tranmere/wrexham only ever bought a few hundred even when on a Saturday.

Let's not kid ourselves that Hartlepool would bring this many any other time.

If we were anywhere decent in the future we would take similar numbers to Barrow this is a nothing game remember. Pools have always had big away support for a smallish club and any hint of success would see large numbers travel especially to barrow with it being one of our closer games.
