Good find. Just as important as Quigley and Rooney at the other end.Smoggie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 4:25 pm Just come across this on You Tube - worth a watch

Re: Joel Dixon
Fantastic keeper, but looks a bit like a highlights reel to put himself out there to me

Re: Joel Dixon
Pedro was never a Dixon fan but seems to have mellowed. I believe he voted for our other keeper as No1 in the vote off. Dixon recovered well from a bad injury and rightfully is No1.
Re: Joel Dixon
Dixon is twice the player of Firth, who we strangely got a fee(?) for from Rangers last January. He is now the world's happiest 4th choice keeper.
Popular side since '03.

Re: Joel Dixon
Absolutely. From what I saw of both of them, he's also a much better keeper than Steve Arnold who has been playing in Divisions 1 and 2 since he left Barrow.
Re: Joel Dixon
Not mellowed trust me ,Dixon last season was far better than the season before, always a good shot stopper but his kicking has improved tooMiddleton Nick wrote: ↑Sun Jul 05, 2020 2:43 pm Pedro was never a Dixon fan but seems to have mellowed. Keepers unlike out field players cannot get away with mistakes ,only have to look at the succession of England keepers.
Let's hope more of the same this season but we will need a decent back up in this league.

Re: Joel Dixon
Will have been in the Liverpool Academy when Gerrard was in there, think he did the U18s, so will have known Firth from there and obviously thought enough of him to take him up there.
