S.B., Maslow's Hierarchy has been simplified over the years! Once upon a time it included "aesthetic needs" (around about a similar level to esteem-needs) which could be explained by the following example:

Basic physiological need (at a football ground): A pie

Aesthetic need: A top quality pie

Essay: Only the spoilt Premier League supporter fulfills their aesthetic needs with regard to pies. Discuss.

(And let's not even get onto the subject of quality of "comfort breaks" at grounds, and the relative aesthetics thereof)

Footnote: I wonder how many players feel they self-actualise at Barrow (at least in the football aspect of their lives)? Meaning . . . got as far as they really, deep down, believed they possibly could as a footballer by playing for Barrow?

A finisher to complement Quigley

We are desperately missing creativity from midfield. Dont want to go over old ground but we have not replaced John Rooney and it has shown in the last two games. We must get someone in who can be that creative pivot from midfield.

We’ve literally tried to fumble through the start of the season whilst Quigley has been suspended in the hope we’d fluke a win here and there. It ain’t happend and we’ve paid the price by bringing in a NL player in James and giving Hindle another year....... poor.

It’s been obvious to all we’ve needed a decent striker even when SQ is back to play alongside him.

Don't recall there being too many clear cut chances that a striker could have got on the end of today. Its creating goal chances for the forwards that is also missing.

Agreed, however I didn’t see any strikers making a nuisance of themselves, demanding the ball, running the channels or offering themselves. Works both ways....
