I would be trying Paul Cook,ex Wigan,out of work so no compensation,north west based with a good record of bringing on younger players,his sides play good football and punch above their weight,so let’s not throw away the blueprint because of one bad choice of manager.Can we afford him ?I don’t know but the value of his stock would be higher getting Barrow out of trouble than sitting around waiting for a better opportunity,let’s at least aim high,look how Clough has transformed Mansfield.

No chance of Cook coming to Barrow. He was previously at Wigan and before that at Portsmouth. He was last lined with the Sunderland job and his next job will be at worst in EFL 1 but probably the Championship.

Depends. It’s usual for candidates to apply and be interviewed, rather than headhunted.

Apparently there was nobody else looked at when we got Dunn.

Not sure if he is still in business with Dunn but last year they were in eco property development together.

To be honest we must not rush into making quick decisions now. I'm glad we've appointed Rob Kelly as temporary/caretaker manager as he has a wealth of experience doing such a role. You only have to look at his Wikipedia entry to see that. If he does well over the short term then that's good it might be, going forward, he takes us to the end of the season and hopefully safety then we can re stock. If things don't go well he has given us breathing space to look at what is available & how we approach the rest of the season. What we don't want is a knee jerk reaction if we don't do well in the next couple of games and make poor decisions. I hope the forum also has a bit a patience (but I'm not holding my breath). The ones who wanted rid of Dunn have got what they want but they should support Kelly and the team now before the next major decision is made.

Thats not correct. In an interview on Radio Cumbria Paul Hornby said that the board had agreed on a name to approach it was not David Dunn and the name was never revealed. Out of the blue Dunns agent got in touch with Barrow and said his client wanted to be considered for the job. The first name they had was never approached.

Yes we need to get out of the current mess but still need to be looking longer term. No point employing an escape artist if that's his only trick.
