Thats not correct. In an interview on Radio Cumbria Paul Hornby said that the board had agreed on a name to approach it was not David Dunn and the name was never revealed. Out of the blue Dunns agent got in touch with Barrow and said his client wanted to be considered for the job. The first name they had was never approached.

Sweet talked into it by an agent! I hope that lesson has been learned.

Some players react and play better under a new manager, who knows how they were told to play and what tactics they were given.
Clean slate for me under a new man for any that have [SwearFilter] me off this season.

The CEO said in the Mail we are close to the salary cap limit (1.5million) so the big budget issue is not really as big an issue as it was.

We need someone with the same level of belief in Barrow and what he’s doing as Evatt had. The Manager has got to be someone who wont settle for mediocrity and gets rid of this “big step up for Barrow what do you expect” mindset that returned so quickly after promotion. The manager has got to get rid of this mentality and raise the bar. Then we might start winning some games.

Firstly, why not Sol Campbell? He worked a minor miracle at Macclesfield the other season in keeping them up. I know for a fact he fully supported that team and scrapped his way to league security on the final day of the season. We need to get tough and scrap it out now.

However, I digress. Whoever is appointed it is the most important appointment for a long as I can remember as our football league status is at stake. The BOD cannot afford to make back to back poor appointments. I really hope they get it right.

Most people within the game know he's a complete tool.

Danny Grainger every time for me, got to know him when he was at CUFC, not surprised in the least he's doing so well at Reds, players listen, he is the one that 'gees' them up, gets them playing, and him being a Penrith/Appleby lad takes absolutely no prisoners.
If Beech was to leave the mighty Blues (hope not), then personally I would have little hesitation of giving him the United job.
