Barrow has relatively short drive in terms of travel and with a train in and out of the peninsula were not too isolated. Agree with this. We've got to stop using this quip ourselves and I cringe when I hear it for exactly the reasons of it giving a negative perception. Why do we continuously refer to it?, as if anything good that happens must be an extra achievement because of where we are geographically. We are just over 2 hours from Manchester and Liverpool, 4.5 from London on the train. We are not on Mars and we need to rid ourselves of it. Town and club. Does Plymouth have the same issues? Carlisle, Inverness, Dover?
