Re: Not In My Town Not In My Club.
Over 48hrs since the incident any news, has the Colchester goalie made a statement, anyone come forward with names have the EFL contacted the Club over what punishment it will receive if the racists allegations are true, must applaud the goalie for playing on after what happened could not have been easy for him surprised he didn`t want to be subbed hope he had a good journey home and got some sleep.

Kieran, As you'll be aware S Africa is a complex issue with Black, White, Indians, Coloreds, Asians & others etc all now coexisting together in certain areas & not mixing in other areas through tribalism choice or circumstance.Kieran wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 10:58 amIt's not a matter of opinion though is it? It's a matter of fact.
Its not what the thread is about so I'll just post the once more on it.
It took me 20 seconds to find evidence than in 2018 64% of black South Africans were living in poverty as opposed to 1% of white South Africans. I'll accept that 1% seems quite low, but it certainly isn't anywhere near as high as 64% and will still be well in single figures. Other studies suggest that 9 out of 10 South Africans living in poverty are black. Anecdotally, I have visited South Africa too - many towns and many cities and saw evidence of racism against the black population in every one of them and witnessed it first hand in some. I also saw poor people (i.e. the black population) struggling against a system that was designed to keep them in their place and that continues today.
How you visited South Africa and possibly saw anything other than that I have no idea and says a lot about you for me. To suggest that the end of Apartheid and Mandela's rise somehow instantly flipped everything on its head is completely astounding.
Ive lived in the Durban & Umslanga Rocks sp areas & spent a few months in the Jo-Burg area & still today have immediate family in the Cape Town & Richards Bay areas & they have been there for 30 yrs plus, So I'm familiar with changing culture & Racism definitely cuts both ways not only there but Stateside also as ive seen it firsthand several times.
Apartheid was a evil vile regime & thank god its been resigned to the history books & obviously the black indigenous people suffered terribly but so did the Indians as ive been in townships of both people's & i never knew of Indian townships existed as they were completely ignored by the British press for decades & they were literally housed across the street or side by side, Talk about selective one eyed agenda reporting.
Several years watching the news reports all they had to do was turn around and film those other people's townships, But they never ever did so i was oblivious to it until there myself & they were
Just as big as the black or colored townships.
Coloreds & Indians were equally as racially abused by blacks as tbey themselves suffered under tbe whites.
Id say poor disadvantaged whites is higher than 1% & Whites still only account for around 8, 9 or 10% of the population & many have lived there for several generations, & many have had their farms ransacked & been murdered in the process, Just trying to highlight the other side of the story for some balance or am i now a racist for saying so....
That last line isn't directed at you Kie more at the forum deadheads.

Disgraceful comment. If you don't understand why that is an horrendous accusation, you're the problem.NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 2:06 pmBut if you look into Georges background he has a bit of a history for this sort of thing. When he was at Carlsile he had a reputation for being a moaner who thought the world owed him a living because he was the tenth choice keeper at Liverpool. A lot of people were very surprised when he got a contract at Colchester after a couple of years of grubbing around after Liverpool finally realised his potential and released him.

Re: Not In My Town Not In My Club.
No using what's called " playing the race card " Example if he was late for training and the manager had a go he would say he was being picked on because he was black. Luckily at the time, his manager was one who didn't take any of his crap and if my memory serves me right his exit from the club wasn't exactly straightforward either add to that the accusations at the time he got his final contract at Liverpool and you can see a pattern starting to develop. What happened on Friday night didn't surprise me one little bit.Kieran wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 4:27 pmA history of what? Fabricating allegations of racist abuse of being a bit of a "moaner"? There's a world of difference.NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 2:06 pm

An easy answer would be that any player making an accusation to the referee of that sort should be forced to make the same accusation to the police on an official basis.

Re: Not In My Town Not In My Club.
So up to now, we have one ten-year-old kid who might or might not have heard something.
Don't you think it's very strange that not a single person in the other 2800 people there or in 7 pages on here or in the press or to the club have said they definitely heard what a goalkeeper with previous form is claiming to have heard?
Maybe if he spent more time concentrating on the game rather than what he might or might not have heard his career wouldn't be going down the pan
Re: Not In My Town Not In My Club.
Maybe we all should take a breather at this point and await the outcome of the investigations the club is conducting concerning the incident. It's getting too toxic on here at the moment.
Re: Not In My Town Not In My Club.
Where does your perception of doubt in the ten year-old's recall, as expressed to his parent, come from?NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 5:49 pm So up to now, we have one ten-year-old kid who might or might not have heard something.
Nobody else on here, as far as I can remember, but how can you possibly make such a ridiculous statement about the remainder of those present or know what has been reported to the press or club, with an ongoing investigation apparently under way?NORTHERNSOUL wrote: ↑Mon Sep 13, 2021 5:49 pmDon't you think it's very strange that not a single person in the other 2800 people there or in 7 pages on here or in the press or to the club have said they definitely heard what a goalkeeper with previous form is claiming to have heard?
