Folk will sit where they want and stand where they want as they have done at every away prior to this for as long as I’ve been going.
Don’t see why people are getting their back up about it when people will end up sat together and stood together with who they want to be. Not like this forum to be full of morons as per usual!

so you would have kids not sitting with their parents because tickets wernt bought together no fault of their own as when season tickets went on sale you could only buy one ticket.
So the ones for partner or children were bought in general sale so allocated seats elsewhere.

I wanted to take my daughter but she’s not going because I couldn’t guarantee we would have seats together.

So I’m supposed to travel to a game with a group that I always watch the games with, sit dotted around on my own for the game and meet up after wards? [SwearFilter] that. I hope I'm stood at the seat on your ticket. The club should have merged season tickets together so we can all be together.

I won’t be sitting, it’s an away derby day. Only those who can’t stand for a prolonged period should be seated. I hope you’re sat at the front with your bovril if you’re sitting

Surely if you want to sit with certain people, go into the ground together and all sit down at the same time in the required amount of seats. Whether it’s your allocated seat doesn’t really matter as long as you’re together. We’ve sold x amount of tickets so there will be a seat for the same x amount of people, nobody will end up without a seat (or I wouldn’t imagine they would). Is it really not that simple or am I missing something? Depending on how late you are into the ground you don’t want to be clambering over loads of people to get to a seat just because that’s what your ticket says?

The most mental part of this discussion is the fact it’s taken till 2 days before the game for people to realise; was always going to be an issue when you could only buy one ticket each originally. Just stand (or sit) where you want, all Barrow aren’t we

Surely if you want to sit with certain people, go into the ground together and all sit down at the same time in the required amount of seats. Whether it’s your allocated seat doesn’t really matter as long as you’re together. We’ve sold x amount of tickets so there will be a seat for the same x amount of people, nobody will end up without a seat (or I wouldn’t imagine they would). Is it really not that simple or am I missing something? It's a domino effect people are going to get really [SwearFilter] off if their seat is taken ,
I for one will be with my elderly dad our seats are the ones I booked and payed for and are going to sit in,
I don't give a [SwearFilter] who's in our seats they are moving hopefully it won't come to any grief ,
I give my seat up someone else gets [SwearFilter] with me because I'm in their seat etc why can't people see this !!!!

Really p. poor organisation.
I don’t think that any of us are surprised at the demand for tickets for this game.
Rather than pulling the KO earlier the police should have been working with the club in arranging safe transport. A charter train would have been ideal and could have been sorted well in advance with prior notification to all those buying tickets - We have West Coast at Carnforth and DRS at Carlisle both more than capable of supplying this and both have worked with Northern recently. (DRS supplied the Locos and stock on the coast line for a few years when Northern were short of units. So both these companies are on Northern’s Safety case).
Now we will have hundreds of fans travelling on crowded service trains mixing with the Public and most likely with Carlisle fans also. There is far more potential for trouble here than re-arraigning the KO time.
We have had successful charter trains in the past to Wembley and for those that remember to Burnden Park for Bolton away in the FA cup.

Pretty sure it wasn't the football plod at your end who was in any way responsible for the KO being changed as if I remember correctly he tweeted that he didn't even know anything about it when it was announced at the time.

The Carlisle football plod is a complete tosser and has been since the day he was appointed every opportunity he gets he goes way over the top hiring horses in and cancelling all leave etc for games where absolutely nothing went off in the end. Numerous people have contacted the Police and Crime Commissioner about him and his power-mad antics costing a fortune and ruining peoples enjoyment of a day out at the football yet nothing is done about him. Take his latest brain storm changing the kick-off on Boxing Day against that well known Hooli club Rochdale to 1pm Yes that's boxing day when there are no trains running the day people like to enjoy a few festive hours in the pub with their friends before enjoying the match and that's against a club who are about as far removed from being a hotbed of hooliganism as you can get.

So don't expect anything like a light touch on Saturday and as for going off to the Howard for a pint unless you're smart enough not to leave the station when your train pulls in because I suspect if you do you.ll be corraled and walked down to the ground by a long circuitous route and then be forced to spend a couple of hours on the concourse at the ground being forced to drink the overpriced shite beer that they sell while being constantly filmed and harrassed by plod and his mates all on overtime rates.

If you want an example of how it should be done have a look at Accrington where Andy Holt gives the away clubs as many tickets as he possibly can Sheff Wed are bringing 3k next week and he's even moved a few Accy ST holders [ and compensated them ] to give Wednesday an extra 400 seats and who encourages the fans to mix and socialise at the ground with entertainment, great beer and food at reasonable prices, all the local pubs welcome away fans with decent beer and food at great prices and because of this there's no need for forced marches from the station or the like and to date its worked no trouble and very few arrests [ the only real incident happened in the Accy end and was the result of over-enthusiastic cops from Preston not understanding how it works at the Wham ]

Anyway, don't let plod and the [SwearFilter] running the club up there get you down and spoil your day. Have a good one on Saturday. Derby days like this are what footy should be all about.

Agree with you there . Anyone on this train that thinks they are gonna go for a pint in a city centre pub better think again cos they aint. The police will see to that.

Yes because the seats you take are not yours then they have to find seats which aren't theirs and on and on it goes !
Just say you took 2 seats from a family of 4 who had tickets for those 4 seats together how on this planet would that be ok ?
Its just wrong anyway it's spun to me ..
