Still scoring goals in League 2 for Bradford. As for the lower leagues argument remember a chap called Jamie Vardy playing for Stockbridge Park Steels ? In that respect how about Banbury striker Chris Wreh. Right pedigree (out of a Premiership striker) right age and knows where the goals are.Would benefit from full time training and better service and stated in a pre-match interview that he would like a crack at the EFL.Most of L2 will be looking for that elusive striker so I think we need to be thinking outside the box.Falstaff wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:37 pmHolker OB play five divisions below Barrow. Are you really suggesting the Walker could do a job in League 2 now? What's Andy Cook up to these daysZiggerzagger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 7:30 pm Would have been better signing Jason Walker till the end of the season before he signed for Holier old boys,at least he knows where the net is and played for his badge![]()

Wreh was awful! Moved like a tank and could barely control the ball. I'd hope we'd be looking at a higher standard than that.SKIPPER wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 11:41 amStill scoring goals in League 2 for Bradford. Re: Dear Mr Hornby
One of Stockport's players in Wednesdays FA Cup Replay was on loan from Villa. A team mate of Dimitri Sea's. Both part of the Villa Youth Team who won the FA Youth Cup. A very talented team apparently, as they demonstrated at Holker Street.Falstaff wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:55 pm Perhaps the way forward, at least as far as the rest of this season is concerned would be to get a loanee striker from a higher division club who needs experience, such as the lad from Villa. Or a more proven player who's not getting a game currently and would benefit from getting game time a division or two down. I'm sure MC is considering all options.
Mr Cooper - start making enquiries.

James Norwood not getting games at Ipswich. Transfer listed and sure to leaving there in Jan. A player proven at this level. 29 goals in 45 games for Tranmere in L2.
This is the calibre of players we need to improve the team.

I remember him scoring against us a few times in the past. Might possibly get a run out against us at Portman Road.
Ideal opportunity - whether he plays or not - for us to make initial enquiries.

Re: Dear Mr Hornby
As we are all speculating about a new striker in January which I think we all agree wanted to throw another name in,Ryan Edmondson from Leeds is set to have his loan at Fleetwood cancelled in January because of lack of game time, someone who had a good game against us in the papa johns, scored set one up by being too quick and strong for Joe Grayson good height and energy and the type of player that I’m sure Mark Cooper would love working with

Re: Dear Mr Hornby
Norwood too old at 31, though Edmondson at 20 might be the sort of “bargain” player we could do with.
Re: Dear Mr Hornby
In what way is 31 too old? Is 30 too old? How about 29? It's prime age for a striker. You wouldn't want Andy Cook or Jamille Matt in January?Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 19, 2021 6:15 pm Norwood too old at 31, though Edmondson at 20 might be the sort of “bargain” player we could do with.

It’s getting genuinely tough to decide which accounts on here are parody accounts these daysZiggerzagger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 7:30 pm Would have been better signing Jason Walker till the end of the season before he signed for Holier old boys,at least he knows where the net is and played for his badge

Yeah...I thought this after I'd replied. Hard to know if it was tongue in cheek or a genuine comment.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 10:56 amIt’s getting genuinely tough to decide which accounts on here are parody accounts these daysZiggerzagger wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 7:30 pm Would have been better signing Jason Walker till the end of the season before he signed for Holier old boys,at least he knows where the net is and played for his badge

Barrowafc.net Legometer is very sensitive. The needle starts twitching once a player graduates from the U16 team.
