Re: Tranmere (A)
A strike force which couldn't put a hole in a paper bag combined with a back 3 which couldn't catch a cold between them!
Re: Tranmere (A)
I’m disappointed in that result. Not the performance / effort which was there and fair play to the players who have stepped in. We weren’t out played and I think I we were on top when they got the second but it’s another game coming away with zilch. I do like a team who presses from the front and Tranmere never gave us an inch first half but second half we were finding space and time on the ball, but again it’s in the final third where we need to improve.

We missed Oli Banks big time today, it seems we don't have a plan B for when he's missing
Heaven is a place on earth, we prefer to call it Holker Street
popular side since 2002!

Re: Tranmere (A)
Tough taskmaster. Im not disappointed to lose at Tranmere away with that line up at all; when I saw the team sheet I’d have been very pleasantly surprised to get a point. Much bigger game on Wednesday night; now if we lost to Oldham I would be disappointed.
People need to keep their heads; not long till January when we can sign a reinforcement or two. We’ll be fine
Re: Tranmere (A)
We huffed and puffed a lot in the 2nd half, had plenty of the ball, but absolutely no end product. Take a couple of playmakers out of the side and we were snooker.
Re: Tranmere (A)
Its not a question of losing heads- no one is on a rant here. I’m disappointed because of how the game unfolded. I felt we could have got something out of it second half but it showed up where we are lacking. Possession and passing it across the park doesn’t win games. Their first goal shows that

Wonder if the team night out in Manchester had anything to do with the positive covid cases in the squad. Jamie devitt dancing on tables looking really injured

Re: Tranmere (A)
Just when we seemed to have a settled team we lose three players through Covid
and a fourth through suspension. To cap it all an offside goal is allowed because the linesman is asleep on the job.The other thing I noticed is that it doesn,t matter how many crosses are put in if there is nobody on the end of them.We definitely need a player who can convert those crosses into goals.
Barrow throughout this season have hardly ever had a full squad to pick from.Hopefully this will change after the January transfer window.I for one will be at Holker st on Wednesday night hoping against hope we manage to win that one.

Re: Tranmere (A)
It’s a strange situation this season, I think football wise we are as good as any team in this league, but where it counts upfront, we are absolutely pathetic. The worst attacking set of players we have ever had

But as Jonah commented (and I agreedMethuselah wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 7:28 pm Just when we seemed to have a settled team we lose three players through Covid

EFL Rule is - if you have 14 players available, including a goalkeeper, then you play.

The other fault which we are still guilty of is trying to walk the ball into the net instead of taking a shot.
