I’m disappointed in that result. Not the performance / effort which was there and fair play to the players who have stepped in. We weren’t out played and I think I we were on top when they got the second but it’s another game coming away with zilch. I do like a team who presses from the front and Tranmere never gave us an inch first half but second half we were finding space and time on the ball, but again it’s in the final third where we need to improve.

Hutton found space and put in 7 or 8 crosses but, as Jonah said in post match, they were all floated ones that needed a big striker and instead he needed to whip them in low.

Tough taskmaster. Im not disappointed to lose at Tranmere away with that line up at all; when I saw the team sheet I’d have been very pleasantly surprised to get a point. Much bigger game on Wednesday night; now if we lost to Oldham I would be disappointed.

People need to keep their heads; not long till January when we can sign a reinforcement or two. We’ll be fine

We huffed and puffed a lot in the 2nd half, had plenty of the ball, but absolutely no end product. Take a couple of playmakers out of the side and we were snooker.

and a fourth through suspension.To cap it all an offside goal is allowed because the linesman is asleep on the job.The other thing I noticed is that it doesn,t matter how many crosses are put in if there is nobody on the end of them.We definitely need a player who can convert those crosses into goals.
Barrow throughout this season have hardly ever had a full squad to pick from.Hopefully this will change after the January transfer window.I for one will be at Holker st on Wednesday night hoping against hope we manage to win that one.

But as Jonah commented (and I agreed ) nobody could get on the crosses as they were floated in too high or too long.

If we have a small squad and several off with COVID plus our usual long term injured players why were we not eligible to pp this game ?Is the rule re numbers available the same for all the leagues?

The rule in any league is not 'if you have 3 players with Covid then call it off'.

EFL Rule is - if you have 14 players available, including a goalkeeper, then you play.

The other fault which we are still guilty of is trying to walk the ball into the net instead of taking a shot.
