Yes but we did get those 7 points so no problem we are staying up wouldn't matter to me if we stayed up just on goal difference.

The biggest difference since Brown arrived is the atmosphere around the club. A black cloud has been lifted. The team look as if they want to play football. OK some of it may be down to the fact that we have avoided relegation but a lot of it is down to him

Honestly some people posting on here wouldn"t know a decent knowledgeable football Manager if he bit them on the arse, brown fits us full stop he ticks all the boxes he will give us some sort of stability that we need next season to get a foot hold in league 2 thats got to be the aim his experience will see us okay its probably a last chance saloon for him at 62 to finish his career on a high lots of people like him give him a 2 yr contract and give him a chance to steady our ship we have had 2 yrs of turbulence lets calm the waters and sail into next season give him the job as our ship was well and truly torpedoed and sunk before he turned us around

Ok, fair enough. However, I'd say there is a big difference between securing league status on the back of three great results, rather than on the back of 9 straight defeats. You're giving Brown absolutely no credit for Barrow retaining their status, which to me is very harsh.

I've not said anything about whether he deserves credit - of course he does! But I'm questioning whether that credit should also come with a job offer. I think if it wasn't for the 4-0 win, I reckon most people would say 'no'.

Let's rewind would people have rather kept Cooper.

It was a gamble and it paid off.
He never brought any players in and they played like a pub side under Cooper.

He got the points needed irrespective of the number of points available.

If he gets the job he will be judged by the first ten games of the season but hopefully he will have brought new players in

Brown has a head start in that he has had the team for the crucial relegation battle and got to know the character of individuals and who has had the fight in them. He knows where we need to strengthen. If it’s not Brown another new manager comes in and it sets us back in pre season with players who are not good enough getting a clean slate again. Brown for me.

He never embraced the club or the locality.

We need consolation and a leader. Brown is the man now to sort the squad out and use his contacts. He identifies with the club and the people. Neil mac is key as coach.
They deserve a chance to put our club on the map.

that tells you everything you need to know about both Cooper and Brown;- there is no way a team should be unfit in April (obviously Cooper's fault). Brown got the team fit and that made a big difference.
