Daily Mirror reckons us, Carlisle and Hartlepool are after Matty Longstaff on a season long loan from Newcastle; seems a very lazy geographical rumour but you never know

Unless Newcastle pay a large percentage of his salary I doubt us Carlisle or Hartlepool could afford him

He was on loan at Mansfield (I think it was them) the 2nd half of last season - Newcastle paid all his wages.

I could see a couple more going and replacements coming in. Manager wanted 2 players per position so with that in mind i wouldn't be shocked to see another striker. Looking forward to Saturdays friendly

He was absolute bobbins for Aberdeen but good for Mansfield last season.
