The art in the tunnel is fabulous Adam but you've taken the thread off topic. It is about the 'We are Barrow', not the art in the tunnel.

They look brilliant. Art. A very individual opinion.
Really? the birds are of ratio to the background scene and also what about the paint on the frame?
Rather than our CEO spend the club's money on someone from the northeast ( wonder why that area was chosen ?) ,WHY didn't we ( as we're a community club) invite local schools to give their ideas, get some kids to then paint the winning ideas and give them a corporate day out at a home game ?.
Are you moaning that the birds aren't to scale???

Some of this thread is absolutely unhinged. Just a bit of paint.

Go back to Page 1 of this discussion, the tunnel was mentioned in critical terms there and has been part of it since

It's about being professional and as an EFL club our standards need to be higher than this ,people hate it when other fans call us "tinpot " ,well that wall gives them plenty of ammunition!
Correct, nothing professional about it.
Add the shambles of the away end as well.
Absolutely Tinpot !!!!

Just to keep.on facts, the tunnel was painted by an artist from Barrow, who also does a lot of work on various community projects.

He also did the Yes we Can Cox one a few years back, again just for clarity.

I am pretty sure the club asked for designs from the general public and got very few.

The wall was someone else.

I would have thought someone might have offered the origin of "Bluebird" being Donald Campbells speedboat and nothing to do with feathered friends.

Things like this will always draw a wide range of opinions. That is what art does.

Like others have suggested, would have rather had digital prints floor to ceiling of some of our players of yesteryear or key moments in our history. That could have gone on the the wall and in the tunnel. Not sure what the art is depicting from a footballing perspective.

Look at the title of the thread and the words on that wall which will be picked up by the TV cameras on Saturday.

As I said before the players tunnel is great but that wall is tinpot and a disgrace, spoiling the brilliant efforts that have taken place everywhere else, a lot of it by voluntary labour.

That's what the producers of bad art always say.

The wall at the Crossbar/Steelworks end is toe-curlingly awful, and will make the club a laughing stock. However bad it looks from inside the ground on match day, you can bet your life it'll look even worse on the TV highlights show, or, perish the thought, if we get selected for a live cup match. It HAS to go. Please. Please.

Simple fact of the matter, the fans don't want it... Let's just get a banner and cover it up. Let's not be all sentimental, let's just try and get our club looking as professional as it can. It's almost as if the board and ownership can't get past the fact we're now not non-league any more. We always find a way to shoot ourselves in the foot. #SameOldBarrow
