Great turn round and sensible substitutions well done all safe journey home and well done Pete Wild for not panicking and tweaking the team formation .Being unpredictable adds to the excitement ( and my stress levels).Well done bluebirds we owed them that game after the two recent matches with them at home .

Be honest Ian , nobody in their right minds would have predicted this result after 30 minutes!spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 07, 2023 5:08 pm Reading back on some of the comments early on in this thread![]()

Never happy some people.
If the free kick comes through the wall it is hard to blame the keeper.

Can we all agree Farman is still awful? Hopefully hes one of the 15 and wont sign so we get rid, on a decent wage, we can get better and deserve better
Re: Mansfield v Barrow match thread
Come back from 2-0 down and all you care about is a mistake from Farman. Wouldn’t like to be in the trenches with you. Nothing to say about Ray making another mistake that leads to a goal or does that not fit the negative narrative?

PW says we're 95% on another player but the current club is messing about but very excited by the prospect.

Surely first half was Plan B? How did it go?
Great effort to turn things round in the second half by reverting to Plan A.
Hope the egg wipes off ok from a few faces.

Re: Mansfield v Barrow match thread
You would have thought there were 2 different teams playing for Barrow. First half was a total shambles.
No closing down, little tackling, little effort, incapable of passing the ball 5 yards to our own players and to compound it all, terrible mistakes by Farman and Ray gifting 2 goals.
Second half was a super performance. Tone was set with Gordon chasing around even in the few mins before he scored. No comparison between him and Bennett in terms of speed and scoring potential.
Although substituted, Gotts was one of the few who could be satisfied with his first half performance. Great to have him back and another with the pace to get around the field and create something.
Big bonus for me was Elliot Newby. Very intelligent, good on the ball, covered back very well.
Other than Whitfield who was very quiet, I thought all the subs did well when they came on although I'm sure Gotts was taken off purely because he has been out injured for so long and is probably not completely match fit.
