Paul Rutherford and Dior Angus both still attract derogatory comments when compared to the big-money imports of the last couple of years despite giving their best for the club.Ruthers made nearly 200 appearances over 5 years and Dior was hampered by injury and Covid.

I think PW probably disappointed with Billy Waters thinking he owed him some loyalty because he brought him to a Football League club.
Waters gave 100% but to me and he is not the only one was not good enough.
The player has to do what's best for him and he gave his all when playing for us.
I think it's good business we are safe in the league and I am more concerned about Brough leaving.

Not sure if this move would have happened if we’d have been in the top 7 but with Waters now gone it leaves us with even fewer attacking options. Our goalscoring is the lowest in the top half of the table and apart from Kay / Whitfield (early on in season), we don’t score too many from elsewhere. Yep gonna end up in mid table which is a good first season for Wild but it would be nice to finish on a +ve goal difference.

Wherever we end up this season,the board now owes Pete Wild for next season.It has been obvious for most of this season,we have not got a player who can dominate the box when a cross comes in.If it means spending money to bring such a player in,it will have to be done.There is no way that Pete Wild should be blamed for the under performance of the players,which was plainly obvious in the game against Harrogate.If we want our team to succeed the board within reason should enable Pete Wild to go out and get suitable players for next season,otherwise we as a club will end up on a downward spiral after such a refreshing change at the beginning of this season.Pete Wild has a five year plan,so give him the players to make that plan a success.Hopefully it will happen

Both only had few months left on their contract. If it's as easy as you make it sound why couldn't we got the contract of Ellis terminated at the start of this season or Mike Jones last season ?

The only problem with this is not knowing how much money will be available. In other words, how deep are the directors/owners pockets and how much will they be willing to spend on Barrow?
A bit like the old joke…..Q. How do you make a small fortune? A. Start with a large fortune, then buy a football club.
