The … at the end of Tommy’s post clearly shows that he’s being tongue in cheek with his comment

The joke is wearing a bit thin. Time to retire it.

BTW I’m wondering whether Worrall’s arrival indicates the likely departure of Sam Foley.

Hearing a manager say how good a player is doesn’t mean much compared to the supporters words of the club the player has just left….and judging by their words we’ve got a good un!

Great start to the summer recruiting.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Cracking signing for you, this one. Keep going like this and you'll be in with a shout again next season.

From the Port Vale site. It seems like a Brough situation for them. Discussed a new contract but the player had a better offer elsewhere ("better" may be financial or perhaps a new career challenge).

It's the same every bloody season. All the same boring conspiracy theorists spending all day from waking up, trawling various sites. He is our player now. P.W has said in various interviews the type of player he needs for the coming season. He has had a season to look at what he has, what they have achieved, their weakness, and players who want to leave. Let him get on with making us evan better for gods sake. We have just had a great season. Look at the league table !!

I'm confused. There seems to be unanimous delight that we have signed a player of this quality as evidenced by the dismay of his previous club's fans. Should such signings to be greeted with muted acceptance?

Less of a common sense view and more of an overreaction based on nothing.
