I very much doubt we've signed literally everyone we were after, however, Pete sounds like he's trying to build positivity and I'm all for that 👍🏻

I see there’s 5 or 6 interviews with Carlisle players on the radio Cumbria Twitter With a fancy new microphone. And a total of 0 for barrow. It’s no wonder people call them out for being radio Carlisle. And no this is not a dig at Adam

Carlisle had an open day for the media

We’ve only been given access to the one interview with Pete

There is the difference

Have you asked if you can speak to some of the players - esp. the new signings?

I wonder if Carlisle players and the Manager actually live and train in Carlisle unlike our set up and thats why these interviews were easier to do by Radio Carlisle.
We want our players to do the talking on the pitch .

Yes they do train in Carlisle

But like I said before - the fact is they had an open day for the media

I can’t just interview people without permission

But let’s not let facts get in the way of peoples agendas against the station

The way the press works is:

I approach the club and say please can I do an interview with………….

The club will then say yes or no

If they say yes they will give me a time that I can either rock up to the ground, to the training ground or can phone up.

I would then make that appointment and do the interview

If they say no or don’t get back to me then I can’t do the interview:

I would love nothing more than to go and do interviews with people but without the permission I can not.

It’s not the case that we don’t care - it’s simply that we haven’t been given the access to do the interviews.

Carlisle had an open day for the media to attend and players manager were put forward to interview thus the interviews that you have seen/heard

A bit of positive information is that the BBCRC policy on County Cups seemed to change towards the end of last season when there was some coverage of two later-round Cumberland Cup matches.

Good.

Very strange agenda. Sure when Barrow host our media day then Adam will get plenty of interviews

Sorry I've no doubt missed a club announcement, but when is the club media day?

Who looks after that side of things now?

To be fair I don't recall Carlisle United having a pre season media day before this pre season. It's quite possibly a new concept for them this season.
The agenda some have against Radio Cumbria is quite frankly pathetic.
