Just wanted say as a football fan I found the challenge on Duffus & the failure to produce a red for a blatant high foot that nearly sliced the bottom of Courtney's nose off a total embarrassment. I think that sentiment is echoed unanimously on our message board by fellow County fans. If the shoe was on the other foot we'd be absolutely furious with a decision like that. We've probably all seen red cards issued for seemingly totally innocuous things so for the officials to not deem that challenge as worthy of a red card is mind boggling even by the poor standards of refereeing we see nowadays. Not sure what the rules are for upgrading cards after the event but pretty sure there wouldn't many of us who could complain if that was upgraded to red on review. One of the worst facial injuries I've seen for some time in football that didn't involve an accidental clash of heads or an elbow.
Good man,it was a shocker, and it should be taken further, not just to punish your player but to educate the referee. You probably won’t agree with this which I fully understand, but Acquah our striker was constantly man handled and thrown to the ground on several occasions by your centre backs, and the ref did nothing.
I'm in total agreement with you in the fact it should be taken further for educating the referee (& also would have no complaints if the player was punished further), what I can't understand is, it wasn't an off the ball incident so the referee & at least one of the linesmen should have had their eyes fixed on the ball & the passage of play & seen the incident clearly. I'm a firm believer that officials should be held to account far more than what they are, they're basically almost beyond reproach as it stands, they don't have to explain or justify their decisions at all to a wider audience.

With regards to Acquah's treatment by our CB's yeah I don't agree with you on that one! Mainly because one of our main gripes as County fans so far this season is that we're only playing with one true CB as for some strange reason Challinor has decided to convert Knoyle (the offender in the Duffus incident) who was a decent RWB for us last season into a RCB this season (which he's not) & we're using Touray as a LCB when he played mostly as a LB/LWB for Salford. A lot of us don't believe either are proper CB's & aren't really solid enough for those positions, but if you felt that they were guilty of man handling a big physical player like Acquah then I guess we're wrong & they've got what it takes!

I was actually terrified that someone like Acquah would cause us all sorts of problems but in all honesty you didn't create much for him to work with. It wasn't a great game all round, We're not firing properly yet & I think your lads had a bit of an off day, I was kind of expecting a repeat of that 1st half hour at our place last season when you totally ripped us a new one! I'm glad that didn't materialise!

I'm a big fan of what Pete Wild does at your place on what I'd imagine to be a relatively small budget, you've had a decent start considering 3 of your 4 games have been away, whereas 3 of our 4 have been at home! Best of luck for the rest of the season.

No surprise to hear in Adams interview with Pete Wild that once again we received an apology for no red card last Saturday

Like I’ve said before, when incidents like this happen the officials should be summoned to appear before a panel and after watching the video asked to explain their decision making and reasons for it. Apologies are meaningless.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
