Making money?

Our accounts say different.
Similar post on the club’s Facebook page. Without our current board putting millions of their own money into the club, we’d be back in non League or worse. :sentoff:
Indeed; our board has made mistakes like any human but I take comfort in knowing that every decision they make is with the best interests of the club at heart.

Not every club can say that.

I hold all of them in very high regard. I do not hold PW in high regard as ( until I hear evidence to the contrary) I believe he has disrespected them and us by blaming his own failure on the fact we’re a small club.

Or was the statement released with a 19:00 embargo?

It's may. Iain wood will have it in hand. That's his job.
It is may but decent players out of contract will be in negotiations already (if not already sorted)

Definitely an embargo issue - release the news late on a Friday - no disrespect to Radio Cumbria I’m a fan of A J but Cumbria never break a Barrow story - Alan Nixon seems to be the man who has the inside track and that’s been demonstrated by the number of Barrow stories he’s broke over the last couple of years. He’s clearly getting tipped off by someone inside the club. In fact I feel sorry for Adam in the nicest possible way - he’s interviewed Pete Wild over the last two years - and done a great job in my opinion- and you’d think that relationship would have meant Pete would have tipped him off he was going. But sadly not, that was left to Jeff1966 to break the story. Obviously Pete didn’t feel he needed to award that relationship in anyway which I think is a shame, I think AJ should have been the man.

Alan Nixon is nothing but an agents troll

He gets a lot more wrong than he does right, simply as he will post what agents are telling him, simply to drum up interest.
He’s not some mystic guru.

Here is how the system works

Clubs will issue press releases when things are official, signed, sealed, delivered etc - that press release will have a time in which they will be publishing the news.

ALL media organisations are tied to that press release and can not declare the news as official until the club have published.

Prior to this - agents will always leak information to certain providers in which they have arrangements with - generally as a last ditch attempt to maybe alert someone’s attention - hence why when you watch sky sports news you will see “Sky sources suggest”

The news at this point is not official - and the same goes with your supposed “guru” Alan Nixon

Until the club announces it things can go wrong and they have in the past and most certainly will again in the future.

He’s not “breaking news” to give fans a little treat - he’s annoying the arse end out of clubs by doing an agents bidding

I always found it strange, when Adam asked him direct honest questions, during our “ bumpy” times, Wilds response was quite often very touchy, sarcastic.

I did not like mentioning it but towards the end with some interviews Wild seemed quite condescending .

End of the day he has gone
People will be apprehensive but in all honesty this season was going to be tricky even if Wild had stayed.

Condescending, that’s the word Pedro. My big word English sometimes lacks.

That's ok we are all fans.
I think Adam is to good for RC but I listened to interviews with PW and Evatt and I thought if it was Roy Keane( the madman from Cork) interviewing them they would be on there backs the way they were so terse.

Interesting four page 'Pete Wild' thread on the Oldham forum. Several posters would like Mickey Mellon sacked and 'Mr Oldham' returned to his rightful place. On the flip side one poster in particular was very scathing. He said "Mellon has five promotions on his CV,Wild has not won anything and more to the point has just succesfully completed five succesive bottle jobs with Halifax and Barrow. On this occasion head trumps heart by a wide margin"

"more to the point has just succesfully completed five succesive bottle jobs with Halifax and Barrow".

Do coaches "bottle it" or players? This year certainly qualifies as a bottle job after throwing away an almost certain playoff spot.

Howveer, last season we fell short but it was always just a long shot. At Halifax, Wild did at least get them into the playoffs and they were possibly beaten by better sides.
