Would be very surprising if Chester was going to stay after signing 2 new central defenders and re-signing Feely.

Re: Released/Retained
In his post-FCUM interview Clemence affirms the interest in Tyler Golden (he was named) but, rightly, says that good performances against HOB and FCUM don't mean a great deal. How he performs on trial from now on will show his worth.
Don't let the old man in.

Exeter rumoured (from their fans?) to be interested in Junior Tiensia.

Do we really want or need him now? He took forever last summer and at Christmas to commit. He gave us a good season and probably played more than we expected, but will be 36 midway through this season and isn’t the fastest. Thanks and good luck I say.

Re: Released/Retained
The rumour seams to have died off now. It seems the player they thought might be Tiensia was some young lad from Rangers.mickmike wilson wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 11:59 pmHope we keep the lad & we get to really see what he can do but if the offer is too good to refuse.

Chester signed for Salford.

Re: Released/Retained
I’d personally rather have Theo Vasell than Chester, iirc Chester was brought up at the qna , and his lack of pace was mentioned.
Re: Released/Retained
Good luck to Chester he did a good job for us but my heart was always in my mouth as players closed him down with the ball at his feet.

Thanks for the memories James and Ben, gutted they have chosen to move on.
Took a while but all concluded now.

Re: Released/Retained
Chester looking after himself like all players do and waiting for the best offer doesn't owe us anything just another player who has moved on, will be plenty moving on after the end of this season also the life of a lower EFL player.

Re: Released/Retained
I think Chester gave us good value for the season he had with us. Far better than I expected given his previous injury record.
Salford is a great destination for him to end his EFL career. I'd be really surprised if he manages the number of games that he did for us. But that might suit him and them.
Thanks for your efforts James.
