Time will tell if Clemence was the right appointment.

Never seem to have a Plan B imo.
Not sure we should be down that route just yet

Pretty confident we will be in the playoffs at the very least this season. We have gone tits since the Chelsea game, that In itself has caused us mega problems, the players on a high to a bump, the extra pressure, the injuries and extra game time.. at least we have half stopped the rot and not lost last two games. We will do ok..
Absolutely no chance of being in the playoffs unless we sign a decent striker. I said many weeks ago that we would finish in the bottom half with our current team and I've seen nothing to change my mind other than we'll finish lower than I thought when I first forecast!
The reality is that we have to concede no goals to give us any chance of a win or even a point and although we have a great defensive record we keep conceding one goal in most matches. The chances of us scoring any more than 1 goal in any match with our current striking options is very small. We will probably manage it every now and then but we won't manage it many more times than we will even though we'll probably outplay many teams for attractive football!

Im glad u feel alot better BTG

He didnt recieve a yellow because it wasnt him that handled it :D hope this helps, thanks
Who committed the offence please would like to know why our player thought he could get away with a balant hand ball that the referee could clearly see like you did.
Saw the arm, but not the player, lets blame Stokes, seems he gets the blame for everything

sorry but cant see a hand anywhere near his head. Wish there was a side view mind.
What about the player’s arm in front of Foley. His arm is stretched out towards the ball. I was quite near incident at the time and thought it was a pen. Watching the video a couple of times caused me to have doubts but that still has confirmed my initial take on it.

I don’t think we would necessarily need to sign a new striker. Thought our striker yesterday had a decent game. Finished a good move well. Created a couple of half chances for himself. Gardner was playing as a lone striker and though it’s been better in the last two games; for the few games before that our strikers have received little service and been left isolated.
I think with the personnel we’ve got, we can climb the table if we play on the front foot a lot more. Stephen Clemence has said he wants to play that way so hopefully it becomes the norm.
For quarter of an hour yesterday we played without any striker at all. That might well be because Clemence hasn’t got faith in our strikers but I didn’t see that it improved us as a team. The pressing by the front men also adds to our impressive defensive record. We are defending as a team and our good record at the back isn’t down solely to our back four or five.

That`s hand ball all day long, well spotted beachy01 and to the referee, Clemence will have to hold his hand up and admit that was a outstanding decision and a needless red card.

There didn't seem to be any appeal from these directly behind the goals.

Well, we'll agree to differ. Garner, IMO, is slow, lazy, weak, never presses, poor in the air, seldom breaks into more than a trot and when he does can't outpace even the most ponderous of central defenders and will never score many goals. In fact, he doesn't have even one characteristic which I look for in a striker.

But that aside, what are his strong points 😂

We haven’t really had a striker (apart from Stockton) who is worthy of that job description for a few seasons now, we simply cannot rely on the likes of Vassel to keep pulling us out.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

We have the same issues as most clubs finding one. Stockton was class but trying to find similar won’t be easy in Jan. I’ll be interested in who Villa bring, last time we played them there was a few players who would have made good loan signings for us, bringing in a young forward might work for us.

I don't expect a striker at this level to have all of those attributes but I do expect one or two of them. Stockton wasn't a great footballer but he could strike a ball and finish although he was less than mobile. Acquah can hold a ball up and can strike a ball so he has a couple but I haven't seen any of the attributes in any of the other three we have.
