Hope he takes Mahoney with him. That guy that is meant to be a Championship/league 1 player is taking the mick. Takes the ball off Garner and then sticks it into the cross bar. Waste of a wage. Hollywood wages Furness amateur dramatics standard. Another that can go with his admirer Clemence

Won’t be spending a penny in the ground or on the club shop until this shite is sorted
We are all disappointed in the result however look where we are compared to 5 years ago. To be in the position to complain about lower midtable league 2 Barrow side was a pipe dream not so long ago. The board deserve all the credit and we have to show up and support the team anyway we can through the good and the bad.
We’ll be exactly where we were 5 years ago in a couple of months with this rot that’s set in…

That was a performance so dire that words almost fail me. One of the worst in many a year. The penalty miss was the cherry on the cake and so bad that I wondered whether Mahoney actually deliberately tried to miss.

I’ve moved into the Clemence out camp I’m afraid. Apart from being utterly abject, it was totally disrespectful to the manager and to me shows that he cannot now control the dressing room. He is a dead man walking - whether the Owners want to get rid or not.

We could have Salah and Haaland up front and still not score, we create nothing apart from a few poor balls whipped in, there's normally one player in the box, it's to do with tactics why we don't score, when was the last time we seen a midfielder bursting into the box to get on the end of a ball?.....Sorry but that's down to coaching and tactics !!!!!
Before we went one down, Acqua missed a sitter and can’t hold the ball up to enable the midfield to get past him. That’s about being good enough not tactics. Having said that, I’ve no idea what our supposed style of play is. All I would say is that it seems to change every week and often changes during the game itself. I do wonder if SC complicates matters to the extent that the players are confused, and the performance reflects this. There’s no lack of effort but the quality is dire.

This is a fair point. To be a sustainable football club we can't afford to be paying off managers and assistants who are on multi year contracts every season. A dire performance without a doubt but we have enough to stay up (I think).
Recruitment is key, we all knew these 4 strikers weren't going to get the goals required to keep us in the play off mix unfortunately all were signed on decent contracts with a year or two to go hence why no other club will take them off our hands. Wood, Clemence and the board need to get it right ASAP in terms of players and contract lengths.
I think you are 100% correct with regards to the striker situation. The lack of goals has not just happened under Clemence. He knows that we struggled for goals last season and he's now trying to work with the same problems Wild faced. So many have made their mind up now that they want Clemence gone but it was the lack of quality in front of goal that cost us today and once again we are relying on the defence to hold out for the game. It cant go on that way.
Sorry Jonty you're totally wrong, we started off with a back 3 WHERE and when did our wingbacks do anything? apparently Mahoney was supposed to sit behind the front 2 that didn't happen!, Aqua wo nothing in the air ,Dallas was running around like a headless chicken!
This was in the first half, Everyone knew despite having to go to a back four, we were creating nothing!
Did Clemence change it it half-time 🤔 no. He changed it when we were 2 nil know that's totally inept on his part
So when he finally did our shape looked much better but too late!
So explain how you still believe in Clemence he's had lots of opportunities and failed most of them!

Have to agree with much of what's been said already and I would struggle to think of a worse performance in recent years. Even under Mark Cooper we were organised and looked solid, today we were all over the place defensively and a better team than Harrogate would've scored a few more. What they lack in ability they make up for in fight and organisation, but they still seemed to find it easier to pick out their men than we did. Not sure what shape or formation we were supposed to be playing or what we switched to which is part of the problem, and neither did the players by the looks. Why no Foley? Why Eccleston instead of Tiensia? Why Mahoney over Garner for the penalty? Why take Dallas off who was working hard on little service? Why persist in long balls to Acquah and Newby who are both equally useless in the air...

Injuries have killed us and the Cameron one sums it up but equally we've had a bit of luck too in the last couple of games with rash tackles and penalties, today we didn't take advantage and it was possibly the worst penalty miss I've seen. Goals change games as the penalty against Bradford showed, 2-1 and it would've been interesting but we didn't deserve it. The Bradford second half papered over the cracks a bit I feel.
We're a poor team, dropping down the league like a stone and devoid of any quality or goals, whilst looking disorganised at the back and shipping soft goals all over. The points return over Christmas and today isn't good enough and after the manner of that performance I wouldn't be surprised to see Clemence gone. It smacked of the Carlisle defeat which saw Cooper leave, in fact it was actually worse than that. When was the last time fans booed at home...

We lost because too many of the players we had didn't have the quality needed when it came to key moments in the game. That’s my take on it. Appreciate that’s a minority view but I am also not convinced that there is a hidden top 7 side in there that would be unlocked if / when Clemence gets the boot.

Makes 3 attacking changes, none of which involve Mahoney being taken off. Very strange

Canavan talks about no lack of effort ? I can name a couple in our squad who I think are cruising through games

Board have a big decision to make this evening I think

Anyway, thought you were never watching again.. ;)
I didn't go to the game - used my £20 wisely on F&C twice with curry sauce at Mattie's - and going by the reaction of those who attended I made the right decision. Crowds are going to dwindle drastically, as floaters like me will stay away in droves until we see some improvement and some wins.

Your choice, I choose to support our local club financially (via shirts, drinks food) rather than a chippy shop. Thankfully everyone doesn’t think like you or we’d have no club

Appreciate you're view is different to mine. I haven't said i believe in Clemence but by saying Acquah won nothing in the air and Dallas was running around like a headless chicken, are you are saying the same as me- that we lack quality up front? Telford never even made the squad? You can go on about tactics and formations but there are key moments in too many games where we can’t finish or we make an error that is punished. We looked better at 0-2 and after the changes? Maybe, but Harrogate happy to sit on that lead at that point and despite out best efforts we still couldn’t put the bloody thing in the net.

Where does it end without any sort of kickback? Absolute lunacy. I would say we’re sleepwalking to relagation but that’s an understatement. Unfortunately you have to vote with your wallet sometimes

Maybe this is too old school thinking but not sure why Mahoney doesn’t get a spell on the left wing for a change; it’s far too predictable what he’s going to do on the right….and that’s when he’s actually on the wing not being asked to be the 10 or one of the 10’s or whatever that formation was meant to be
