Maybe they think it's going to be a relegation 6-pointer!

Re: Carlisle game
I said it was an awful Sky deal when it was announced this just confirms it IMO. Not only will this have a detrimental effect on the attendance. On a Saturday this game would comfortably attract a crowd of between 4800 to 5200 with Carlisle easily selling their allocation. We will be lucky to pull in 4,000 now. Add to that the effect it will have on the local economy. The pubs wont do half the trade on the Thursday night that would have done on the Saturday. Its an utter and complete shambles whatever way you look at it.

Re: Carlisle game
For EFL 2 clubs it was just £79k a season more than the previous deal. League 2 clubs and the fans were royally screwed over imo32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 3:02 pm take the money from Sky you have to take game changes also.

Oh, ffs! I'd just put the time aside and made arrangements to get down for that.

Re: Carlisle game
It's no fault of Sky. Its the fault of the EFL and all those that voted to accept such a deal.olbarrafancumbak wrote: ↑Fri Jan 31, 2025 3:37 pm Very poor this!

Re: Carlisle game
I guess the corporate bookings will take a hammering as well….
Don’t be surprised at how many Barrovians will now sit at home or in a pub watching it.
Shocking - but SKY won’t give a toss.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
