Although they’ve both been relegated is there anyone at Morecambe or Carlisle we could recruit ? Wages wise the Carlisle players would be a big hit but our northern neighbours must be so desperate to trim their hugely expensively assembled squad maybe they’d help part finance some moves. Just a thought.

That was only his third game back after nine months out with an ACL. They brought him back earlier than they wanted to due to the position they were in. The lads a class act who with a good solid pre season behind him would be an asset to any league two club imo

Nick Haughton from Fylde might be worth a look;- he's 30 now and got 19 goals and 10 assists (from midfield) in a team that got relegated. He's been at Fylde for 7 years now and if he doesn't go to the league now he never will.... Fylde's relegation might make his mind up for him.
He signed a 2 year deal in May 2023 so will be out of contract at the end of the season.

Haughton is a big pink pussycat. Has had ample opportunity to move on over the years to clubs at a higher level. Suggests two things. One of which is that he is Uncle Dave’s favourite and highest paid player. But also that he sees his career more in terms of pound coins than in career goals. He is not a BAFC type. A big fish in an increasingly little pond.

Spoke to a Chester supporting neighbour about Burke. His reply was "You pinched Stanway so you can f**ck right off unless you've got very deep pockets! ". Believe he came close to joining the Macc revolution in Jan but Savage baulked at the fee Chester were asking.As for Murray he impressed me in the games I saw last season. However its debatable whether he would physically stand up to the EFL. First time I saw him I thought he was a mascot who'd sneaked on. He is about three foot tall ! Chester players will now come under close scrutiny having reached the NLN play-off final.

yeah Murray is about Robbie Gotts size, and similar to Gotts takes some set pieces and runs at defenders with the ball.

they have, but he's not even played for Gateshead this season and his loans were at Blyth Spartans who got relegated and Workington who nearly were.

my guess would be midweek as anyone out on loan would in theory be back at the club Tuesday;-

Mazeed apparently didn't settle "up north" - so will no doubt be leaving.
Shamalo was always due to join us pre-season after being at Eastbourne on loan.
Worrall was a hit at Kidderminster, but i'd be surprised if he's not released - but all will probably have to sit down with the manager.
