A great result yesterday - long may it continue. It's a bit like last year though with the injuries. It seems that not every one is picked up on the field of play!

We have Michael Adu-Poku, Isaac Fletcher, Sam Foley, Rekeem Harper, Rhys Healey, Kane Hemmings, and MJ Williams all injured at the moment.
Cameron has been playing with an injury and Ben Winterbottom was on the bench yesterday, but couldn't have come on had Stanway had to come off.

Adu-Poku has returned to his club, hasn't he? I don't think he's our player any more.

I think he is still a Barrow registered player.
According to Andy Whing in an interview not long after he was injured, he said the injury was not as bad (long term) as first thought, so we might see him again in a Barrow shirt.

A win’s a win, BUT….and I’m only going off the very tail end of the BBCRC commentary and the immediate summary and it sounds very much like a smash and grab and better finishing and Colchester would have put us to the sword today.

Let’s hope this win gives them belief because right now I don't think this side has shown any signs of gelling.

I watched the game. A game of two halves. Colchester dominated and completely controlled play in the first half. We were Absymal! Only lady luck and poor finishing from the opposition prevented us from being 3/4 goals down at half time. Second half was a different story. We were more involved and looked more threatening. However, it was only resolute defending and a couple of counter attacks that enabled us to leave with the points in the bag.

However, there wasn't much to celebrate apart from those three points.

Our survival in this league will depend on the players displaying a strong sense of commitment. Determination, strength of character and a solid sense of solidarity will be their saving grace. I suspect that those hoping to see a carnival of free flowing football are going to be disappointed.

It’s our way. Fans need to make HS a bear pit, but we are really quiet. Something wrong when Bluey is needed to get a cheer.

Agree with small fish in big pond, our main aim every season is to survive.

In that sense the way we set up is not to get beat hence many one goal in it games.

Excitement is generated by attacking hence the reason league two is so boring.

I’m afraid unless we get much needed investment we can all expect much of the same having said that a boring One nil to the Barrow and survival will do for me.

Listening on the radio you can always hear the Barrow chants at away matches but rarely at home ones. Not been the same since the demise of the popular side choir, which used to get more areas of the ground chanting as well.

I don't think we are any different in that respect. The majority of clubs at our level have more passionate fans at away games than at home IMO.

I still stand on the popular side and often shout encouragement to the players,but it,s surprising how many people don,t even when we are attacking the opposition's goal.I always get and adrenalin rush when we might be about to score.It,s just a pity that more people don,t join in.If they did it would create a create a greater atmosphere.
I don,t know even if we went in a good run and started climbing the league whether the atmosphere would change.It definitely needs to.
