Comment on the Tranmere forum:
"3-1 Flatters is it was like Tranmere v Brasil 70 , they should have scored 6 or 7"

Don't let the old man in.

Not gonna lie, did not see that coming and to get off to a flyer - three up at HT, cant remember the last time we did that!?
Brilliant for the whole team and fans well played boys (well 10 out of 11) I haven't seen any of it so for once can look forward to highlights later.
GTFIT!
Edit - just watched, Canavan 2nd yellow, he knew straight away, foolish, almost like a spontaneous kick, but that’s the rule and he gave the ref no choice. See so much worse on the pitch go unpunished. Grabbing at corners being one of them.

Or Barkhauzen .. hopefully they just need a rest / break from the squad to allow others in.

People moaned about Harper and Cameron not being included in recent matchday squads. We have quite a big squad not everyone can be included on a matchday. The squad that was picked tonight worked be happy

Great result. Well done players and fans who went.
I thought Jacko looked a lot more comfortable.
Must back it up though.

McCann and Smith gave some real energy and set the tone for the closing and harassing. Harper made a big difference returning also. Fletcher seems more astute than Hemings, more mobile and able to keep possession with ease. Huge couple of weeks ahead.

Agree chuffed for those that went and have been doing so through the barren spell especially.barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 10:33 pm Great result. Well done players and fans who went.

And if we show as much spirit in those two weeks, and get the points, McDonald has got the job!

4 out of the next 5 are at home so a great chance to do it and move away from the drop zone.barrowaberdeen wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 10:33 pm Great result. Well done players and fans who went.

It’s quite the quandary isn’t it! A double edged sword if you like.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 10:38 pmAnd if we show as much spirit in those two weeks, and get the points, McDonald has got the job!
Re: Tranmere Rovers v Barrow, match thread
Probably the same issues that led to Harper refusing to play for us ever again as revealed on this forum. Oh hang on....

Totally different performance tonight.Looks like the players have had a word with themselves. If we win the next two, which is a big ask I believe we will have turned the corner at last.
I just hope we don't return to form at Holker St.I want the players to prove me wrong and show fight and determination for the rest of the season. If they do that we will have nothing to worry about.

Stockport away first match of the season in August 2022 I think. It was Wilds first match as manager. 3 up at HT and hung on to win 3-2.Jonty wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 10:22 pm Not gonna lie, did not see that coming and to get off to a flyer - three up at HT, cant remember the last time we did that!?
