Re: Swindon Town v Barrow, match thread
Barkhuizen hasn’t had a good run of games to fully judge imo. Gallagher will have seen more and know him better than most having played with him at Preston ya gotta trust his judgement atm

I may be wrong but I don't think he played as wingback at PrestonMain Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 2:36 pmBarkhuizen hasn’t had a good run of games to fully judge imo. You can't live in the past Barkhuizen has played enough games and to be honest he's a luxury player WHO has the ability but too often the game passes him by!Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 2:36 pmBarkhuizen hasn’t had a good run of games to fully judge imo. Re: Swindon Town v Barrow, match thread
Maybe Gallagher can unlock that ability and like I’ve said he knows him better than most. Barkhuizen knows the role he talked about playing it at his previous clubs in his interview when he joined usblue nige wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 2:40 pmYou can't live in the past Barkhuizen has played enough games and to be honest he's a luxury player WHO has the ability but too often the game passes him by!Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 2:36 pm

So you're assuming he'll be playing more of an attacking role than a defensive one.Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 2:43 pmMaybe Gallagher can unlock that ability and like I’ve said he knows him better than most. I hope you're right as imo he can't defend.

Sounds like Thompson and Powell could be good acquisitions.
