It is an interview where you can see he clearly cares which is a contrast to Harper for example, plenty of talent and ability but for example at crew when we concede our 2nd:3rd goal just jogs back like it’s nothing, even if they’re not playing for the badge the wages they’re on should rally more drive.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 10:39 pmHave a look at the club interview with Gally on YouTube.Barrow afc 2018 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 7:02 pm Our Head Coach was totally responsible for that result today. It's his first job of course he should care.Bombadel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 10:54 pmIt is an interview where you can see he clearly cares which is a contrast to Harper for example, plenty of talent and ability but for example at crew when we concede our 2nd:3rd goal just jogs back like it’s nothing, even if they’re not playing for the badge the wages they’re on should rally more drive.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 10:39 pm
Have a look at the club interview with Gally on YouTube.
I think he is a decent fella so was Whing but he got the bullet.
There has been no new manager bounce which is scary in itself.
The players we have brought in look committed.
We have a team prior to the change in Manager who are not up to it.
I fear with his lack of experience the only way we will stay up is if there are two teams worse than us.
Irrespective of which league we are in the Director of Football should go.
Recruitment of both Managers and players has been abysmal.
We have needed a centre forward for over two years
There must be a young centre forward either at a lower league club or in a EFL club we could borrow.

Rookie manager, rookie signings, relegation dog fight with 75% of squad who don’t care, loan signings are going back home anyways, current crop could name 3 who look arsed. Bother, serious bother

You can't be serious?!MisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 4:03 pm Sounds like Thompson and Powell could be good acquisitions.
Jack Thompson, No. 26, right-full back was responsible for ALL 3 goals - yet I don't see his name mentioned in any post?
GOAL 1. Thomson was marking Palmer and should have been first to the ball. GOAL 2. Thompson was totally out of position and was responsible for the break-away. GOAL 3. Once again out of position and should have gone for the ball instead of standing still. He only arrived 1 day ago and was atrocious. Not the right full back we badly need.

He isn’t a right full back
He’s a centre half that can shift across to right back but his natural position is centre half

Adam is correct for the life of me I just don't get it no right back signed !
That means Gallagher, Woods and our directors are stuck in this fantasy 3 at the back with Wingbacks, it hasn't worked all season and isn't going to work now ,Gallagher has created his own problem here because he either has to drop Fletcher ( which would be stupid) or he plays Malcolm, which ever way this system unless the Wingbacks can chip in with a goal is a disaster, it takes a high press energy and commitment which we sadly lack !

No mistake we were well in the game at 1-1 then fell off a cliff after the second went in. Number one priority has to be make yourself hard to beat grind out games even if its for a point. Nice football has to be sacrificed or we are heading into the conference. Most teams in our situation appoint an experienced manager, we have done the opposite. If we go down I wont be blaming the manager. Blame will lie elsewhere.

There’s been no ‘ nice football ‘ all season what are you on about sacrificing it for??? We’ve not had it32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2026 11:28 am No mistake we were well in the game at 1-1 then fell off a cliff after the second went in. Swindon had 3 clear cut chances in the first half, even then the defence looked stretched, before Swindon scored their second you could see it coming, we had 2 or 3 players going for the same ball like watching school boys!, Swindon time after time opened up our wide positions ( I wonder why) it's alright Whing and now Gallagher keep playing wingbacks but they have to be able to defend and the people who are playing each side of Raglan have to do their jobs but they look out of their depth ( not their fault).32mile_cul-de-sac wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2026 11:28 am No mistake we were well in the game at 1-1 then fell off a cliff after the second went in. We have to reset Canavan has to come back just for his dominance in the air ,can't understand Newby being left out yes he has his faults defensively but the lad always gives everything which I couldn't say about many!
We've too many players who individually are talented but we need battlers and fighters we don't have many, a mix of inexperience and. Champagne footballers aren't going to get us out of this mess !

Absolutely nailed it. As far as Wild is concerned people seem to just remember the highlights of his time here. He threw away the best chance we will ever likely have of reaching the L2 playoffs, bizarre substitutions, not great football to watch….and let’s not forget the cloud he left the club under, which has also happened at Fleetwood.Big_Bluebird wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 8:19 pmGet wild back now. Let’s not forget how his time here finished absolutely bottled the play offs. Couldn’t win one game in however many to get us over the line with a far superior squad. What makes you think he’s got the bottle for a relegation fight. Back to yesterday, all three goals we conceded were 100% avoidable, just so so poor. We could score two or three goals per game but with defending like that we’re always going to be vulnerable. We definitely looked good for a point up until those crazy substitutions, that blame has to lie with the management team.
How Mahoney is still getting games is astounding, I’ve not seen anything in his whole time here to make me think he’s worth even a place on the bench.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Agree re Mahoney can’t believe he gets a berth ahead of Newby in fact it’s like going down to ten men when he comes on. If we as fans can see it why can’t the management.spirit of 1990 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2026 12:04 pmAbsolutely nailed it. Mahoney's got ability but that's no use without effort and he has little of that. Same applies to Harper. Sadly some of the ones who do put in the effort have little ability!Barrow afc 2018 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 01, 2026 12:28 pmAgree re Mahoney can’t believe he gets a berth ahead of Newby in fact it’s like going down to ten men when he comes on.
