I don't agree with that statement
at all. There are 23 other teams in the NL some of which will have far bigger budgets than us. If we approach the season believing we have a God-given right to go back up we're doomed - Carlisle? We have a new manager and a squad rebuild to swallow. We've already seen how few reams make an immediate return.
A foregone conclusion it ain't.
No idea what “if we fail to go up…we only have ourselves to blame” means. Empty rhetoric without any idea of what’s required to succeed in a very tough NL.
Simple it's in our hands .
No idea? just need to have a decent squad and a plan.
Last season even before we were in the relegation zone you could see we were in free fall.
It's about getting your structure right.
We managed under Evatt because we were so organised .
Did not have a massive squad or plenty of decent forwards other than Quigley.
Carlisle have proved money does not get you promotion.
.By failing to prepare you are preparing
to fail.
