Probably more to it than that, shift changes in the yard and midweek, families have school etc. Plus not everyone can afford to attend every home game.... Tuesdays have always been hit and miss with attendances

Excellent goal on the counter and how good again to see us still going for it and not sitting back attack is the best form of defence. Full credit two weeks after Solihull I thought we were in trouble, huge turnaround since then and all without our old captain…

Big, strong but we’ve got the ball wide and got it into the box and caused them problems all night. They’re not a bad side but other they’ve had a couple of moments and Winterbottom has made a couple of big saves but we’ve been too good at the other end. Hard to pick anyone out for MOM but Harper, Thompson and Oakley were stand outs for me.
Mooney and Allen aren’t bad subs to have either with their quality and pace.

Very very good result and probably best overall performance I’ve seen in a couple of years really.

Agreed. The change over the last couple of matches has been amazing and we now look like a decent team. The crucial change is that the last group of players brought in have skill and pace. Thompson, Allen, Ward, Lane and Mooney are all good footballers and they have transformed the attacking threat. The team is also the fittest we have seen for a few years so credit to the manager who has also managed to get Harper to put in more effort and look a good player.

Williams is on 4 bookings, would probably get another if he plays, another ban and want a week off again.

Could easily be wrong but personally I’d be very surprised if MJ plays on Saturday after what’s been said, or even if we see him in a match day squad for us again

The last 6 signings Arian Allen, Corey Edwards, Mikey Lane, Dan Mooney, Seb Thompson & Keaton Ward all look really good players.
Well done Adam Murray for bringing them in.

Is he fit? I know he got a knock at the end of Aldershot and has he served his suspension now for yellow cards?
I'd like to see Edwards get a game really in there I think Mooney is a more attacking player and whilst good to have at the end, we probably need a bit more stability in there to allow the goal machine that is Harper to get forwards - what a revelation he has been after being dropped a few weeks ago. Good to have options though and credit to Benjamin too, was very unsure about him after Hornchurch and Yeovil but he was full of running last night and did the simple things well, totally overpowered Scunthorpe in the end.

As someone else said above I think it was the russ the difference now and from SOlihull is night and day but we've brought a few more footballers in that have complimented the 'big thugs' very well. Thompson has proved a few of us wrong and looks lively, Lane wasn't even needed but has quality and pace, Mooney has a bit of composure and Ward is showing again what a good player he can be. Allen is electric against tiring defences and whilst Reid may not be prolific, his hold up play is very good and he gets into good positions - hopefully that goal will get him going. From being a big, dull team those players have now given us another outlet and made us a decent footballing team for me, other than Boreham Wood I've not seen anything better.

Important not to get carried away three good results doesn't mean we've totally turned a corner yet, need to keep going and building. Beat Wealdstone and hopefully get a few more through the gate. A low crowd last night but midweek and with two games at home in a week, plus England playing it was maybe to be expected. The last two years nigh on were pretty torturous and it will take a bit of convincing for some folk to return but hopefully last night and a repeat on Saturday will entice a few more back gradually.

Regarding last night's attendance it was disappointing to have less than 2,000 home fans, but after relegation it was expected we would lose a few hundred and many still won't pay to watch Murray ball we've been called a rugby team by some this season, only winning games will drag them back, last night was a good watch and agree the latest signings have really made us better, hopefully more turn up this Saturday.

Iwork that shift pattern ! ,I've got a season ticket and dazn but yeah I was tired but I went please, the season tickets were set at a great price is one Tuesday night going to ruin your education stop making excuses for a public that always gives a reason not to do something it's called f******g apathy and Paul Hornby alluded to this when asked about future investors, club's who have got the more or less same catchment area's always beat our attendances it's really pathetic!

Unfortunately there is an apathy in the town towards local professional sport. The rugby had a great season but could barely muster 2,000 for homes games only reaching that figure when the away side brought a following.

Mall, I think you're being a tad premature with knocking people because just a few short weeks ago we were genuinely very poor and you could perhaps half-understand why people might go missing (even though we don't like to see it happen). It takes time for the message to filter through that you could go round the corner now and think you've been watching Jairzinho, Gerson, Tostao, Pele and Rivelino destroying the opposition. That's what it seemed like in the second half last night. It was so impressive that even our resident satirist, Leo, is unable to stretch irony to the point of posting "Murray out" after that showing.

However, Mall, the sadness is that, even if we continue as we did in the second half last night, the points you make will still hold true in weeks and months to come . . . people staying away, sitting in front of the TV, pubbing it during the match, Mr Hornby shaking his head wondering what else he can do, attendances still lower than performances merit.

Therein lies the real tragedy; nothing but nothing will get some glory-bandwagon-jumping-football-followers to go down the street to get to The Street. I'm thinking of putting a bill before parliament that bans anyone from supporting a pro-club other than the one they were born nearest to. That would stop the ego-by-proxy types from parading around Dalton Road in their "big club" shirts, trying to have us believe that in some small way they are smart/cool/partly responsible for helping the Man City's (?????), Liverpool's, Man Utd's accumulate silverware . . . and then when these teams go a season or two without a trophy (poor luvs) we are meant to believe that they are the most loyal fans in the country for sticking with them. I'm not sure whether to be sick or laugh . . .
