Re: Carlisle (A)
I would say if it stays as it is and there are 200 spare seats they.ll let you sit where you want but I suspect if you take the other 200 and sell them then they might insist on you sticking to your numbered seat due to the issue with some of the last 200 having a slightly restricted view as you.ll probably be told to sell them with a note to that attached.AugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 3:27 pm Anyone know if you have to sit in your allocated seat for this one or can you sit anywhere?
Other than a very small number the view of the ones they actually sell isn't really obstructed it's more a case of watching a game from a very strange angle where the seats are beyond the touchline but if at the last minute you haven't got a ticket but fancy going I wouldn't let it put you off

Has anybody received a ticket through the post yet ?

Re: Carlisle (A)
As of today, no, Dixie.
It is maddening.
When tickets were released for sale to ST holders, I telephoned (the web portal would not accept my order at the time) and bought two immediately, requesting and paying for tracked delivery. However, ticket availability was not my primary concern. Instead, it was when the tickets would be posted. The confident answer was immediately.
The main reasons behind my question were the problems encountered previously this season and being kept waiting until the last minute for receipt and having to patiently chase for despatch and then delivery. When no tickets are available on the day, it becomes even more important. However, I had hoped that the encouraging response to my question about posting meant that lessons have been learned.
Sending out tickets by post is a pain, I get that and am sure it is labour intensive. It is, however, a necessary evil as many fans like myself do not live locally. We, therefore, pay for the tickets plus postage. No issue with that.
The longer that the job is left, the bigger and more difficult it becomes as more and more tickets are sold and the 'pile' gets bigger. My question is why are there always delays when sending out tickets? What is the reason for it? It just does not make sense to me. Can the club not advise via its website or social media feeds when tickets are being or when they will be posted? It is simply incubating potential problems for both fans and the club. When deliveries go astray (and some invariably will) there is less time to address the issue and personnel get distracted into fire-fighting rather than constructively addressing other matters. Supporters get annoyed and inconvenienced.
Before somebody asks why I have not raised this with the club or its representatives, I have. On a number of occasions. To no avail.
The club does many things right. However, the CEO needs to get a grip on crucial matters such as this, pretty damn quickly. I used to hate waiting for buses when I was younger as you never knew if one was coming. These days, there a dot matrix signs at many stops which allow you to make an informed decision as to whether waiting, walking or grabbing a cab is the the best option. Even the bus companies have improved their communication skills. I beg BAFC to do the same.

Re: Carlisle (A)
I picked mine up in the reception on Saturday as although I had selected them to be posted out I was down for the Rochdale game anyway. I don't know when they're due to be posted though.
There was a pile of tickets to be picked up then a smaller pile to be posted out. I showed some ID and got my letter.

Does anyone know if we’re getting the extra tickets? People I know are still interested in going if they’re going to be available. No updates recently.
Surprised there’s been nothing said on Twitter about it.

Like you I ordered the Carlisle ticket as soon as they were available, paying the extra for tracking. Havinf still received nothing by Saturday I went to reception and enquired when I arrived at the ground. There were piles of envelopes all over the place and eventually it was found, along with that of a friend who I am giving a lift to. When I asked why it hadnt been posted as expected, the reply from thr ticket office/shop manager was that he had been on (pre-booked before he started at the club) holiday for the last week as had Kelly but that he had left all the tickets for posting for someone to pick up. The fact I had ordered it and it had been processed before he had gone away doesnt wash though really.
Now with 2 members of staff off, at a time when ticket sales are going through the roof it is fair enough there will be delays.
However, surely it is SOMEBODY'S responsibility to pick up post and get it to a postbox a few times a week / every day???
PLEASE Alisha, Levi, Paul, Tony or whoever, get this sorted or at least tell us there will be delays.

Agreed with that Rich; surely can’t be that hard for someone towards the close of the day sort out the postal orders ordered that day and get them sent off, rather than letting it all build up into one huge pile

They started to do this in Barrow years ago then it stopped and the signs were removed. Don't know why.Cubbins Paratrooper wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 5:13 pm These days, there a dot matrix signs at many stops which allow you to make an informed decision as to whether waiting, walking or grabbing a cab is the the best option. I was criticised a while ago - not by you HK - for pointing out that of 9 staff there were, apparently, 5 'managers'. But no one appears to be actually managing if things like this are allowed to happen.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 8:08 pm Agreed with that Rich; surely can’t be that hard for someone towards the close of the day sort out the postal orders ordered that day and get them sent off, rather than letting it all build up into one huge pile
Don't let the old man in.

Yes I was told we will have that out today for you, having charged me £3 for the service this over a week now and no ticket.Cubbins Paratrooper wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 5:13 pm As of today, no, Dixie.
