No point in bickering because its pointless, doesn't resolve the issue and doesn't even take matters forward. It leads to personal abuse both of people at the club and this translates into abuse of one poster by another.

HOWEVER - please dont feel bad about being critical. That's part of what a forum is for. Not just to sing the praises of a club when its doing well but as an outlet for disappointment when it isn't.

In this respect, the title of this thread is itself inflammatory because its reflects the views of somebody who's made up their mind and is challenging others to disagree. However the subject itself is very valid and has a thread of its own anyway. The mods do have the ability to lock this thread on the grounds of duplication.

This season we are all over the place with forwards ending up in midfield like Reid did at times last night, Quigley has done in at least one home match and James often does.

That's the way Quigley plays. He isn't a target man, he comes deep, he roams, he's all over the place trying to find an opportunity to burst clear, a real handful for defences.

In what little we have seen of him this season, he has played in much the same way as last.

Good observation and yes he does come deep and busts a gut no doubt about it, but this sometimes leads him to taking on a very difficult chance under challenges. We need someone in the box at the right time scoring with one touch from 6 yards. Whether its Quigley or Angus, James It doesn't matter, but at the moment there are too many decent balls coming into the box only and players arriving a yard too late. See it every game. Where are the taps ins.

Well I saw him live in over a dozen away games last season and I didn't see him come deep in any of them. Went wide quite a lot but hardly ever further back than the halfway line. In one game at Holker Street this season he was bringing the ball forward from halfway inside his own half!

Agree the responsibility is his, but how do you account for silly individual errors?

Sign better players that make fewer individual errors, perhaps.

I am struggling to think of a single DD signing that has really impressed or improved us.

The only one I can think of is James Jones and, of course, he's been out for a long time. I also can't remember if we signed him before David Dunn took over.

If players are evaluating there performance-based off an internet forum, or getting hung up about it, then they should give their heads a wobble.

This is a place for debate. I never understand why people want everyone to be sunshine and rainbows with monolithic viewpoints about how good we are.
