Excellent. Beadling was immense.

People were criticising beadling last season but I pointed out then that he can play in defence but he only played there once but another option now !, I'm a nervous wreck !

All played well, but special mention for Jason 'Legs have gone' Taylor, Brown (not the most talented player but will never let you down) and James "Not good enough for EFL" who worked his socks off and constantly unsettled their defence. Cooper picked the 11 who were the hardest workers and it paid off.

Cooper's knows who to rely on when you need effort commitment etc Brown James Taylor might not be technically the best but they'll give all for the club and that's what it's all about now siege mentality let's do our bit on Saturday now!

The only team who won away in League 2 tonight.

We stood firm. Echo comments about Beadling, he won every header. Cooper spoke about that desire to win headers in our own area and we (he) did that today. We looked more of a threat from set pieces than they did.

Funny how the 3 un-regulars in Beadling, Taylor and Brown all had very solid games.

Good to see Rooney back. The ball went backwards less today. Hutton looked very direct

A deserved victory tonight against a Northampton team who I thought we kept their few chances to a minimum. Heard one of their fans say it's our worst performance of the season. I think that was down to our organisation and hard work. Fantastic result but we need to back up on Saturday. Onwards and upwards.

We really need to repeat that effort and commitment on Saturday. Too often in the past we have followed up an away win with a poor performance at home.

Limited in opportunities but wow that was gutsy. Contested every ball and negated all of the cobblers pace. That was a truly BAFC performance of old. Though I nearly died during those 8 added on minutes. Unrecognisable from what we served up against Salford.

Have to say the locals are some of the nicest well behaved I’ve ever met. Let’s be kind to them when they travel up to our gaff.
