Barrow v Forest Green match thread
Re: Barrow v Forest Green match thread
It was a breath of fresh air. As I said last week the system was abysmal and didn't give us any chance of scoring enough goals. Now the players are close enough to Holloway to feed off him. Let's continue this positivity and have a real go at money bags Salford. Let's make some noise in their tin can and bring home the points.

"That's exactly what he wants"..............Don't be ridiculous.

Nice little piece. Interesting comment from Phil Brown: "Mark Cooper's a purist, likes to play it from the back but you look and we're third from bottom. We had to change that." Once again sang the praises of Amadi-Holloway.
Don't let the old man in.

Never - though I could be wrong. Teams are top of the league for a reason. I can’t ever remember a team top of any league being turned over 4-0. Well done Barrow. Onwards and upwards! Roll on Mondayblumooncrab wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 9:30 am Dropping Banks a masterstoke. Rooney takes the reins . Beadling and Gotts adding drive in the middle . On reflection, this was the Rooney who lead us to National League glory. Brown getting a tune out of a fitter looking squad. No sideways backwards negative crab football. We’ve always had the players. This system worked. When did we last beat the top of the league team 4-0? Question is can we keep it going?

And, as a journalist, I would expect you to at least get your facts correct.
He is a Barrow fan who stepped up and was selected to be the commentator for our games after being involved as a volunteer with Radio Lonsdale the local hospital broadcaster and he does a brilliant job
He puts the hours in researching facts on our own players and opponents to make the broadcast interesting to those listening in both home and away.

Make that plus two as I think Adam does a great job and always enjoy his commentaries and comments on our games.Bingley Blue wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 8:08 pmDont know the guy but plus one on that. Moaning about a guy who gives his time me up to promote Barrow, beyond the pale.

Ha just seen that now - yes CheltenhamMisterPleasant wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 10:26 amCheltenham, perchance.andyg wrote: ↑Sat Apr 16, 2022 9:45 am
Wasn't 4-0 but we beat Chelmsford 3-0 last season who, I think, were top of the league. Some of us actually got in to see that on a rather wet and windy December day in 2020. Must be something about Barrow playing top of the table teams at Holker St!
However, we must move on and capitalise on this win.![]()

Interesting that a vegan club are using a coach which, according to the article, has "half leather seats". Not very vegan!Jeeby wrote: ↑Fri Apr 22, 2022 11:27 pm Or jump on the Bluebirds bus

To be fair they are hiring this for a one off journey and I suspect that if they purchase their own, it won’t have those leather seats. Certainly seems good with its lack of emissions etc. Don’t understand all the science but I would have thought its a step forward as regards sustainability.Ilford Mouse wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 9:36 amInteresting that a vegan club are using a coach which, according to the article, has "half leather seats".
