Not sure what that stat proves as, if true, then all the teams below us would also go down in every one of the last 5 seasons based on this season’s pts per game.

Re: Is it doom and gloom ?
Sorry but there isn't a team here. What we have as bad a set of players that exist in the EFL. I wouldn't want to get into a debate about who is responsible for recruitment as I don't know but whoever it was or whoever they were, he or they are completely clueless in his or their evaluation of a footballer.Barrowvianbedlam wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 9:46 pmThe way we capitulated under wild he did deserve the boot, at the moment you’d snap your hand off for him back. That’s down to poor recruitment, there is a team here but the confidence is shot to bitsbluessupporter wrote: ↑Thu Feb 19, 2026 9:38 pm
Just shows we shouldn’t have got rid of Wild!
I wonder who made that decision?

To which - if a NDA is in place - you will receive no public answer.
NDA are not typically in place because of a difference of opinion, which is what some innuendo on here has previously suggested.

It doesn’t necessarily ‘prove’ anything, but based on the form of the teams close to us, we are one of the most likely to go down.Bingley Blue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 11:13 amNot sure what that stat proves as, if true, then all the teams below us would also go down in every one of the last 5 seasons based on this season’s pts per game.

Not sure about that. Whilst our form is poor, it is only marginally worse, if at all, than those around us, bar Harrogate. Based on their form over the last 6 games it would still take Newport three games to catch us.WillBAFC wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 3:05 pmIt doesn’t necessarily ‘prove’ anything, but based on the form of the teams close to us, we are one of the most likely to go down.Bingley Blue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 11:13 am

No doubt the situation is bad but I can’t see the point of bending statistics to make things look worse than they are
Re: Is it doom and gloom ?
The first thing they have to do is not gloss over reality. The only thing that could be worse is if we were in the bottom two now. Somehow we are not. Over the last 6, 8, 12 games we are rock bottom of the form league. To get out the mire we are going to have to turn the form into top 10 form and hope that the others don’t. The odd win here and there in the last 15 wont save us, we need to go on a run.Bingley Blue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 3:25 pmNot sure about that. Fair point, just thought I’d highlight as I’m not very optimistic about going on a run of form. Here’s hoping Dino can get us going again against Fleetwood tomorrow as we arguably need at least 5/6 wins in these last 15 games imo.Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 6:40 pmThe first thing they have to do is not gloss over reality. Re: Is it doom and gloom ?
We’ve been so poor, no question of that but I don’t think we’ll go down.
We’ve got a game in hand on Bristol Rovers and Newport, and two games in hand on Harrogate and Crawley.
Fleetwood are beatable tomorrow and we’ve already beaten Gillingham once. Then it’s Cheltenham away, Bristol Rovers and Accrington at home - all winnable.
Let’s see where Dino gets us after those.

Games in hand are ok if you are playing well. If not it can mean your goal difference gets worse.SilverdaleBluebird wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 10:04 pm We’ve been so poor, no question of that but I don’t think we’ll go down.

At the moment our goal difference is favourable compared to other sides at the bottom of the table.
Dino needs to get a tune out of the poorer players, and ensure the better ones play out of their skins.
Re: Is it doom and gloom ?
Think he's out until sometime in March. Listening to RC sports programme where Dino was interviewed I think the manager felt Fletcher and Foley are not too far off. But they are also looking at the free agent market for a right back and money has been set aside for such a purchase. So we shall see.

We don’t need top ten form. We need to stay above teams who haven’t managed a point a game all season. Under Dino we’ve got three points from two games. That between now until the end of the season would be more than enough to see us stay up, We don’t need to go on a fantastic run to stay up. You’ve got us relegated with 15 games to go. Ridiculous negativity.

Re: Is it doom and gloom ?
Will probably depend on what further injuries we get tbh; the squad we had out Tuesday isn’t good enough but if we can get Whits, Fletcher and Smith back fairly soon, and then crucially most players stay fit for the rest of the season we’ve a chance
Re: Is it doom and gloom ?
We have a chance to put pressure on teams around us today: a point widens the gap ( as would 3) plus Newport and Harrogate play 2 of the top 3,albeit at home.
Conversely of course should we lose, they know the score.
Fleetwood aren't great and I think we can get something.

Hard to be positive when you look at the form table! We’ve picked up a lousy 8 points in the last 15 games! Let’s hope we can celebrate 6 points in 3 games at FT.Bingley Blue wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 11:37 pmGive over.Jonty wrote: ↑Fri Feb 20, 2026 6:40 pm
