Re: Barrow Social
Really interesting listen, Dior is very articulate and excellent on the co-commentary games. Some great snippets from the Evatt era, amongst others. He certainly fancied Bolton, but Paul Hornby vetoed it.

Re: BARROW 125 - Barrow AFC's 125th Birthday
Don't know if this has been mentioned, and one for the older members, does anybody remember the trips over to the Isle of Man the football used to run on the boat from Cav dock around about the late 60s, it was a great family day out and the boat was rammed, I even remember the hover craft being use...

Re: Paul Hornby Interview
The culture in the club didn't sound much better when Pete Wild was here if Tom Whites recent interviews are anything to go by.

They were looking at UCL near Preston earlier in the year, but I don't known whether that had something to do with Paul Gallagher and his contacts, excellent facilities there.

Re: Newport County (H) Pobably the last time in the EFL
We are luckily blessed to have a board who are also Barrow football fans, you do wonder what their appetite is for a new non league excursion with the grief and cost that goes with it.

Re: Is that it then?
When they have a corner - let's leave at least 3 up... Let's play 3 up top including the best headerer of the ball in the team, whether that's an attacker or not, let's take risks by flooding the opposition box even if it leaves us exposed.. that's just a few ideas but hopefully Foley and his team ...

What a crucial time that January period might turn out to be with the appointment of Gallagher and the wasted transfer window.

Im sure you all remember the "must win" last game of the season at Holker street in April 2018 against a Chester 2nd string to avoid relegation from the National league, that didn't go too well, but we were bailed out by other results. When push comes to shove, some players just roll over.

Re: Overnight frost
Think Gareth and his crew deserve a big pat on the back for the condition of the pitch considering the non stop rain we've had this winter and the previous history of the surface. I believe we are one of the last all grass surfaces still left in the EFL which make it even more impressive

Goes to show you how quickly sentiment changes in football, it was only last week that Mr Hornby was waxing lyrical about "Gally" and all the improved team statistics, fwd fast and we have manager number three in two months. When will the toil come to an end.

Re: BBC Radio Cumbria sit down with Paul Hornby
It’s great that he’s provided an update and great that these people continue to support the club financially, but let’s not ignore those big warning flags. Yes, the losses are a big concern, these are large chunks of money, and the directors pockets aren't bottomless. Being at the helm has always b...

Re: Gallagher - confirmed
Very successful experienced pro who will have the respect of the players. Has already worked with some good Managers whilst still being relatively young. Every appointment is a risk. Time to get behind Paul and the lads now. Every appointment certainly is a risk, look at the mess Carlisle got thems...
